The El Cortez opened on November 7, 1941. It is now the second oldest operating casino in the US, the oldest is the Golden Gate just a few blocks away. The location at 6th Street and Fremont was originally considered too far from downtown, but it quickly became successful.
The marquee featured on this pin was installed in 1952!
A favorite spot for many locals, keep the El Cortez always near and dear to your heart with this limited run of pins. Measuring 1.75" wide, with silver plating. It features 2 posts on the back for added security.
