El Cortez 80th Anniversary Pin (Official)

When the nice owners of the El Cortez ask you to design a pin for them, you say yes!! 

This design was officially commissioned by the El Cortez to celebrate their 80th anniversary. It features the exterior sign facade, with that classic El Cortez sign font. Available with or without turquoise glitter, this pin measures 2" across. You can also pick these up at the El Cortez gift shop! 

Opened in 1941, the El Cortez is now the second oldest operating casino in the USA. The oldest is the Golden Gate just a few blocks away. Located on 6th and Fremont, it  was originally considered too far from downtown! Regardless, it quickly became very successful.
